Flying Vision Accelerator Roadmap release and Think Tanks

We invite you to the release of the Flying Vision Accelerator Roadmap and Think Tanks on June 22nd

Marking a pivotal moment for Luchtvaart in Transitie (Aviation in Transition) Project ‘Flying Vision Accelerator’, the first roadmap was submitted at the end of 2025. This achievement sets the stage for our upcoming launch as we work to actively support and accelerate the aviation transition.

Save the date for June 22nd (12.00-17.30) when we’ll celebrate this milestone.

We start at 12:00 with lunch near Campus TU Delft. Subsequently, we will unveil the roadmap with the community and immediately begin its next iteration through a series of collaborative Think Tank sessions designed to kick-start future development.

You are warmly invited to be part of this milestone celebration. Beyond the festivities, the Think Tanks offer a vital platform to collaborate with the community and drive the transition forward together.

Please confirm your attendance registering through the button below.

What to expect?

A high energy afternoon featuring:

  • Short, sharp visionary keynotes; ranging from deep science and technology insights to real‑world aviation operations.
  • Inspiring presentations by (amongst other):
    • Tjaard Sijpkes (Associate Professor – TU Delft)“Thinking Beyond the Horizon … and what limits us to see it?”
    • Colette Forma (Director radical innovation – KLM)“KLM’s strategic perspective on the path to 2050”
  • Short pitches by consortium partners including Royal NLR and Airbus
  • Interactive Think Tanks: a collaborative forum bringing together researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
  • Co-creation session: targeted work on the roadmap’s research priorities. Together, we’ll establish the foundational building blocks for the 2026 iteration.

We are exploring to offer an online participation option, allowing our international community to engage with the programme and contribute remotely.

Be part of the movement redefining our industry. This is the moment to help shape the future of aviation: lower emissions, smarter technology, faster innovation.

The FVA consortium partners – TU Delft, Royal NLR, Airbus, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Royal Schiphol Group – extend their sincere appreciation to all 2025 participants. Your support has been instrumental in growing the Flying Vision Accelerator project into the strong, supportive initiative it is today.

Mark the date in your calendar and register via the subscription form.
