Ron van Manen appointed as Project Director

On Wednesday afternoon, February 15, the kickoff event for the Aviation in Transition project took place. The event at the Fokker Terminal in The Hague was very well attended. Ron van Manen was introduced as the new director during the event.

Ron van Manen was enthusiastic about the ambitions and determination presented during the event. “Transforming global aviation to ‘net zero’ within one generation is one of the greatest challenges on the path to a climate-neutral future. With Aviation in Transition, the Dutch aviation sector can position itself in the leading group. A group that will shape and bring disruptive innovations to the market worldwide. I am extremely pleased and honored to, as project director, work together with the project office, the Dutch government, and all collaborating parties to shape this.”

Ron van Manen has been working in the aviation sector for a long time, currently serving as the Head of Strategic Development at the Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking. Ron van Manen succeeds acting director Aad Veenman.
